🌸I love smelling good for sweaty summertime shenanigans, especially during the month of 🌈
Long-time fan of @boy__smells here, so was overjoyed when they asked me to join @megsstalter in the Garden of Eden to sample the new Marble Fruit Candle + Genderful Fine Fragrance. A true melody of traditionally masculine and feminine accords, effortlessly woven together? Gentle sensitivity turning into strength with a ripe yet structured, olfactive composition of subtle fruit tannins, spices and wood notes? Makes you want to take a real big bite out of something 🍎🍌
@boy__smells is a queer-owned candle and fragrance company that understands the importance of giving back to the community. Through this campaign, Boy Smells is proud to support @glsen, an organization near and dear to my heart, by donating 15% of sales from the Marble Fruit candle and Genderful Fine Fragrance for June and July, with a minimum donation of $50,000
Say GAY, support trans youth. Happy Pride, you sassy snakes 🐍 🌸 #pride
Look out, children... This little coast live oak going to throw proper shade one day 💅 Loved today at @treepeople_org where they are doing an amazing job reforesting LA with native species & with educational outreach programs teaching our city’s youngest members about local ecology and the sustainable practices we can implement to be its better stewards.
Read that again... NINE out of TEN(!) Join me in solidarity with tens and thousands of students around the world as we protest the erasure and silencing of LGBTQ+ students on April 23, during @glsen#DayOfSilence.
You can check out resources, and participate virtually and in-person, by visiting glsen.org/DayOfSilence.
Together, we’ll #BreakTheSilence, and make schools a more inclusive and safer place for LGBTQ+ students.
Tune in this Friday at 2 PM PT / 5PM ET when I’ll be hosting an IG Live with @rainvaldez about Loving Differently as part of @absolutus#LoveResponsibly campaign.
Like so many folks this past year, I decided to expand my family by adding a furry friend. A little about Homer; he’s an Aquarius (not entirely sure about the moon/rising); he prefers to chew his toys only after he’s deposited them on top of my feet; he’s a little wary of big dogs, but once he gets the higher ground from, say, atop a bench at the dog park, he’s pretty fearless. No, it hasn’t entirely been puppy love between us. Sometimes it’s been tough getting up and putting the needs of a young animal first. Homer has contoured the limits of my own patience, perseverance, and need for personal space. There has been a lot of that last bit this year – personal space. Alone time. Something that felt personally sacred. Solitude that has, in moments, involuntarily shifted into feelings of isolation. Yes, there has been a strain on my personal relationships during a year spent largely apart from loved ones and the world at large. But that strain has been my teacher too, forcing me to think about how to love and care for myself and others responsibly.
@amiparis asked me to make a little mixtape and I jumped at the chance to put something together from what I’ve been listening to lately, some favorites old and new. check it out on @spotify with the link in bio... hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it❣️
And so the sun sets on this strange, difficult year of unnameables. Days are getting longer, tomorrows brighter, mysteries still wide. Happy New Year. Weird to be here. Love being here with you. Here we go, 2021. 2020, outs! 🌅
