It was held from 1 March 1970 - 26 April 1970 at Rabindra Bhavan Galleries and National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. The organizing committee for the exhibition comprised of Karl Khandalawala as chairman, with Mulk Raj Anand, K. G. Subramanyan, Krishen Khanna, Geeta Kapur, Gulammohammed Sheikh and Manu Desai as members. Vivan Sundaram was the secretary and treasurer.
