"I’ve seen and felt a mother cows heartbreak too many times to count. Their anguish combined with witnessing their babies baited into a trailer to be sold to the highest bidder for meat finally broke me. The baby calves trusted us and when the door slammed shut and the truck started rolling out of the pasture to take them to auction they would all burst into tears and poop uncontrollably. Their mothers would bellow loudly, running after the trailer, pleading desperately for us to stop the trailer and let their babies go free. But instead, the red trailer would leave the ranch and go up highway 35 never to return. I watched dumbfounded as the mother’s ran up the mile and a half fence line moaning desperately as far as they could. I saw the babies eyes bulging as they clamored to get one last glimpse of their families. And then the gnawing silence in the pasture except for the guttural groaning of all the mothers that just had their children ripped from their side by a cattle rancher. The cries and the search lasted for days until finally they relented to the reality of their forever heartbreak. 😢

Right here, right now, the grief and shame overtakes me. I see the stark images like it was yesterday and the tears I cry are nothing compared to the groans being bellowed every second of every day around the world. Their voices are loud. Their anguish is real. 😔

Humanity can do something. Wake up! Be the person you would want someone to be if your baby was being stolen from you to be sold for meat!"

The biggest cause of deforestation is animal agriculture. 😡 The Amazon is being cleared at a horrific rate either for grazing for livestock or to grow crops to feed livestock. All so people can eat meat. 😔
