“Fight! Fight for everything you hold dear.” Doing this film for the newspaper @informationdk was important to me on a lot of levels; my father, Per Marquard Otzen, was their head editorial cartoonist from 1967 to 2004, and somehow, the red and white logo of this left-wing academic newspaper, has become part of my DNA. Absolutely blown away by last night's result at D&AD: a BLACK PENCIL for Hopeline 19 campaign, launched with a powerhouse film directed by Novemba created to help our incredible NHS staff. Through Covid their dedication to others put their own physical and mental health at risk; 2 in 5 NHS workers suffered PTSD, double the rate found in military veterans. It's both humbling and completely appropriate that this campaign should be recognised with the highest accolade in our industry.
