I styled the mannequins for the @adidaslondon carnival takeover Oxford street store. Styled using the adidas collection and my own pieces. Being able to pay homage to my heritage and the carribean community in store really felt like a honour. Obviously had to have the mannequins repping my flags🇻🇨🇯🇲. Drop your flags in the comments I’m tryna see sum👀
Up for another week so come down and have a look of your in Central🙌🏿
*Last slide is my biggest achievement of the job, peep the flag I folded from adidas socks🧦

KeepitRollin’ is determined to help support the current skate community and get as many people on skates as possible, but we know that it’s alot easier said then done. We want to remove as many barriers to skating, creating a larger, accessible and inclusive community full of love🥰
@rookieskates are bringing some free skates to aid the breakdown of barriers for a more accessible skate community.Numbers are very limited,so bring a pair of shoes along to customise if you don’t own a pair of skates incase you don’t manage to get your hands on a pair this time ❕

Sidenote: I MISS MY SKATESSSSS😭😭😭
Having to take time off skating whilst I heal from surgery from some weeks back. [blessed that I’m healing well]. Do not ask me when I’ll be back on skates because the answer is WHEN MY BODY LETS ME (soon I hope🤞🏿). Loss/grief/lamenting is a big theme in my life as of late. With people, with life, with attachments, hobbies. Not being able to skate is sad I can’t lie. But I’ve also been trying to give gratitude that I’m able to miss something this hard because I got to experience a love so deep. Anyyywhooooo, when I’m back on my wheels, they are NOT leaving my feet for a loooong time🛼😛
I’ve got something exciting for the skate ppldem🤭 [and future skate ppldem]. Roll into next Thursday to KeepItRollin’ first event❕

with the opportunity for a freestyle skate session for skaters to jam on stage alongside skate video/photo viewing from the community on the LED Screen.
PLEASE NOTE:
•This is not a roller rink event, but an opportunity for the skate community and those all around to connect and vibe. There are food and drinks onsite to purchase
•All skates have to jam plugs to skate on stage (some will be available to borrow)
•The courtyard is not skateable due to a cobblestone surface
•There is opportunity to skate onstage . The stage capacity is extremely limited, and will be managed as a first come first serve, one off, one on basis [humble beginnings, let’s manifest a big rink next year🤭😉].
•professional Videographers/photographers will be present to capture skating on stage if you wish
This is for everyone to come down and have fun ! Whether you are an advanced skater, skate curious or just want to shake a leg. Hope to see you all there 💃🏿

2.8 Million Minds is one of my favourite projects I’ve worked on so far and close to my heart. Working with young people using textiles/poetry to reimagine journalling and contribute to a manifesto was a really beautiful process. Presenting this in the House fo Parliament felt like real change could be made. Art I more than just output, it is my therapy. It hears me when I can’t even manage whispers, allows me to truly express myself and it really was my saviour from a young age through to the present. I hope to provide the opportunity to find the same solace I find through creating. There has been so many cuts in funding in arts for young people, when art can be a vital tool in personal growth and understanding of thyself. It’s a shame in a way that it takes projects like these for this to be recognised. But I’m grateful that projects like these exist, to give some young people a chance to tap into their creativity and expression and lay the foundation for future footsteps to follow.
To rely on healing to happen solely in adulthood is a disservice to your spirit. Healing doesn’t just start in adulthood, it starts from childhood through being seen, being heard, being validated, being loved, being reminded that life actually sucks sometimes but it’s going to be alright. This is me just saying in a long way BUN ABLEISM, BUN TAKING AWAY FROM THE YOUTH, NAVIGATE THROUGH LOVE AND FUND THE ARTS THANK YOU❗️❗️❗️
A big shout out to @vacuumcleanerart for leading this entire project-a true star, @yomi_sode, @bxwarnock for the amazing work they did with their groups of young people, @seth_pimlott, @sai_isabella, @aminajluul, @zoe.whitley, @chisenhalegallery helping to produce/facilitate the workshops/artwork and looking after me, @linda_florence@shonibarestudio assisting me with the co created garment between the young people and I, to @bgartscentre, to the amazing team I can’t fit in this caption, to Lloyd @towerhamletsnow CAMHS, and most importantly the young people who brought themselves to create and trust in this process. icl, real tears were shed seeing this manifest.
I urge you to read the manifesto co-created by the young people/artists - link in my bio ❗️
