I’ve gotten some rest and have so many things to say and so many to thank for the Kooler Kids Arts Enrichment Camp! We started this in Coldwater,Mississippi in 2018 because some kids had NO access to performing arts training in that area. We had around 70 kids and less than 30 could afford the 35 dollar admission. We didn’t turn ONE child around. That next year it grew. We would STILL be thousands of dollars in the hole trying to do this program! God showed me that profit is not always financial and that revelation changed the scope of how I approached any work moving forward.. In 4 years, God has allowed us to impact over 5,000 kids with this type of program. This was the first year the final performance was in a theater. Also, the first year the production class was on an industry professional sound stage. This was also the first year we had scholarships for over 90% of the kids!!! When I was young, this dream literally seemed impossible. Now it’s kids able to see themselves in the Industry! I’m so grateful for the staff, parents, sponsors, etc. Personally, these last two weeks I’ve learned waaaayyy more from the kids than I taught!! I’ve gained so much peace regarding big decisions that are coming up and I credit those Kooler Kids! Directing them in this show was a dream come true. Let’s think about it, OUR kids don’t normally get to experience theater in a professional way. They don’t normally experience film and television industry level production training! That’s changing NOW!! They showed up!! They learned! They worked hard! And they presented an incredible presentation with only TWO WEEKS of rehearsals!!! Mane, I promise we will do our best to continue. It gets really really tough because managing a machine to provide opportunities takes a lot, but we are grateful for the journey! All I ask is that you continue to support any programming that will change the trajectory of our young people!!! And 🗣🗣DONT GIVE UP ON THESE YOUNG PEOPLE!!!
