🌀 ANDROMEDA GALAXY 🌀 Also known as M31, the Andromeda Galaxy is our closest galactic neighbour located about 2.5 million light-years from Earth. 🚀🌍 . There are around 1 trillion stars in the galaxy, compared with the Milky Way which has around 200-400 billion. ✨ . It is the largest galaxy of what is called the Local Group - a collection of more than 54 galaxies including the Milky Way, the Triangulum galaxy and many smaller dwarf galaxies. 🌌 . In approximately 4.5 billion years the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way (two spiral galaxies) are expected to collide and the result will be a GIANT elliptical galaxy.
