They had a magical recipe back then that resulted in lenses with impressive performance but more nuanced character than you will find with modern lenses, especially apparent in their bokeh and flare/ghost characteristics. We have K-35s, two 9-lens sets of Canon FDs (all with new 16-blade irises), the 50mm f0.95 Canon Dream Lens, and more on the way.
