It was a privilege to present a stakeholder statement in support of SDG14 at the United Nations Ocean Conference! Here’s Dr. George Shillinger, Executive Director of Upwell Turtles and MigraMar Founding Board Member and Treasurer, presenting in the final plenary of the UNOC. In his statement, Dr. Shillinger asked for increased efforts to protect Pacific Leatherback turtles, whose populations on both sides of the Pacific are highly threatened. He also commited $750,000 over the next two years to advance conservation efforts for the species
