This past year has been the most challenging year of my life. But when I take a step back from my problems, my perspective shifts and I remind myself that there is always someone out there that is battling something bigger. Some of the happiest humans I have ever met don’t have much money or the materialistic items and luxuries that many of us may take for granted. What they do have is each other. They have community, they have their health and they sure as hell have gratitude and smiles that could steal your heart. Because it was my birthday yesterday, there are now over 400 happy bellies in my hometown in the Philippines. Thank you to the best family ever in the Philippines for organizing a birthday celebration for me to feed over 400 people in our hometown!! ❤️ And thank you to the chefs that donated their time and efforts to help fulfill my birthday wishes! To put things into perspective, feeding over 400 hungry bellies cost me about the same amount of money as a dinner out in NYC for me and just a few of my friends 🤯 #BeAwesomeToSomebody
