Starlino Black Olive & Strawberry Americano
This week on @SundayBrunchC4 I’m making drinks you can seriously impress your BBQ guests with and the best thing is that you can batch it all ahead of time.
This is a surprising and delightful little combination, the saltiness of the black olive tempers the bitter Campari and allows more citrus and fruit to shine through. It’s inspired by a lovely fresh salad I had in Greece.
The star of the show is Starlino vermouth with its beautifully nuanced rose wine, pink grapefruit and strawberry.
This entire cocktail can be pre batched ahead of time, the longer you leave it, the better it will be!
To a large tupperware or jar combine:
1/2 bottle of Campari
1 bottle of Starlino Rosa Vermouth
1 sliced strawberries
30ml kalamata olive brine
To serve, add 100ml of batch to a highball glass, top with chilled soda.
Garnish with a black olive and strawberry on a skewer
