Crystal Palace destroyed The Toffees 4-0 in the Quarter-final of the FA Cup, but things got even worse.
Everton played a big role in the fight for survival in Premier League.
The final relegation spot was contested by Everton, Burnley and Leeds United. Everton endured a run of just three wins between October and April, but victories against Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester City meant that victory over Crystal Palace in their final home game of the season would secure them another season in Premier League. Everton went 2–0 down at half time, but goals from Michael Keane, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s late goal in the 85th minute secured a great victory and Premier League at Goodison Park in 2022/23.
Richarlison became the club’s topscorer with 10 Premier League goals.
