Reposted from @thesingfamily How do we keep ending up here? We have been trying to find the words to express our thoughts regarding Uvalde. There are so many people pointing fingers at each other, but at the end of the day, we think most of our sadness comes from the fact that WE ALL have failed those babies. In the last few years, we have seen marches, walk outs, and cities burned TO THE GROUND for the sake of change. There were 27 school shootings with injuries or deaths this year alone. TWENTY-SEVEN?! It’s always the SAME CYCLE… shooting happens, we get into heated debates in the comments… and eventually… WE FORGET… and nothing happens. Are we doing everything in our power to force Congress to make effective changes? The answer is no. There will be no change until we demand it. If we want to see a change, we strongly urge everyone to take the midterm elections seriously. Do your homework and research the proposed policies that are being presented. DO NOT FORGET!
