3x800m @ <2:30 w/ 2:30 rest between. This is the start of my taper week for
#sdtrack
but it was tough to stay focused on a hard workout when so many other more important things are happening in life. But I reminded myself I worked hard to get to this stage and I don’t want to slip at the end. I took a rest day yesterday, I didn’t want a lot of volume due to taper, so I decided to run pretty fast. First two reps were ok but I was happy that I had some extra juice for the final rep. Rep #1: 73.2, 75.2 (2:28) Rep #2: 75.1, 74.0 (2:29) Rep #3: 71.9, 70.3 (2:21) This workout helped me finally achieve a Vo2max of 68 (as calculated by Garmin). Hopefully this means I’m peaking at the right time. Shoes:
