It was a dare from a friend. A guy friend who also had his toenails painted. So, for the first time in my life, I got my toenails inked up. Yes, I am no longer a painted toenail virgin. Yes, yes, I know some companies do have non-toxic, fruit-derived toenail color options, such as @oliveandjune and @100percentpure - but in this case, I was backwoods Tennessee at a hole-in-the-wall old-school traditional nail salon (@titannailspa and they are super cool!), so I took one for the team.
