With 7000 species of plants, it is regarded as one of the richest botanic gardens in the world and is located in the Cape Floristic Region (A @unesco World Heritage Site). Pictured here is volunteer guide ‘Ruth’, a retired immunologist who now spends her time educating both tourists and South African locals about the importance of preserving South Africas indigenous flora and fauna 🌿🌵🌺
