He walked past a garden full of flowers. So beautiful, a flower of every color, all a different design. The garden was flourishing. Just like anyone else who enjoys picking a beautiful flower when they see one, he would have picked some, just for the heck of it— to put in an empty forgotten vase, hidden under the kitchen sink in his house and enjoyed their view and blossoming scent for a day or two, only for them to be left on the sparkling, cold white marble counter to slowly wither. But he didn’t. He stood there and appreciated the garden. He touched a few delicate petals and breathed in the refreshing scent of a few and stood up again. This garden is along the path he usually walks. He will come back tomorrow and the day after and the day after; eager to see what the garden becomes.
