So I’ve been ask over a dozen times what is the difference between the Racing Hart C5’s on my car and the ones I picked up from the junkyard. Thought I would answer everyone’s questions by going over a bit of what I know and the history of these legendary wheels. So the original C5 wheels are made in Japan and are 3 piece wheels as you can see with the bolts. The version that I have on my car are made in USA and are a identical copy of the original wheel but they are 1 piece mono-block with no bolts. I believe a company in the USA bought the rights to replicate the original wheels from Racing Hart. There is also another one piece version called R/H Evolution that was on the market and that was considered the actual rep version of the wheel. It was never stamped as “Racing Hart” but rather “R/H” and I believe those were produced in Taiwan. Many would mistake the wheels on my car as the R/H version which is absolutely incorrect. So to my knowledge there are 3 different versions of these wheels. So comparing the 3 piece JDM version with mine, the biggest difference would be the bolts on the JDM ones. The ones I have are engraved with the logo “Racing Hart” vs the JDM version having the words “Racing Hart C5” stamped in black. The JDM ones have the notable polished lip vs a semi stepped lip on mine. The reason why I believe the USA version is licensed is because they both share the same caps that cover the lug nuts. The R/H version has a different style cap that would not fit in these wheels. Thankfully I was able to get a limited flush edition cap with no holes from homie @iczer77 , it just makes the wheel so more flush with no holes. Both of these sets have the same identical specs as well at 18x7.5+44. I’ve always preferred the one piece version as I was never a big fan of the look of the bolts, I wanted that smooth slick finish. So which version do you all like, the USA ones or the JDM 3 piece ones ❓❓❓🤔
