“The idea of stagnating creatively or from a business point of view terrifies me, so I like to keep thinking ahead. Having a calm space enables me to focus on the creative side of my business, as well as to work out how to move it forward.”

Pattern designer and interior stylist Abigail Edwards (@abigailjedwards) works from a studio in her renovated Victorian apartment in North London. There she creates hand-drawn designs inspired by the delicacy of nature and the dark edge of fairy tales she loved as a child growing up in a rural village in the Cotswolds. She also styles interiors photo shoots for a variety of editorial and commercial brands and launched her first book, “Quiet Pattern”, in 2018.
