The ever changing conditions of the Kolyma Highway is incredible. One minute mud, then sand, then rocks and sometimes washboard as seen in this photo. One thing remained consistent however and that was the jaw dropping landscape. As you approach Magadan the landscape just keeps getting better and better as if the road knows that you need a reward for your struggles to get there. In the next few days I will post a map of my route over the last 9 months on the road as well as stats like miles covered, repairs, etc. . . .
