Some ideas from other people's "Off Grid" homes in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. I've been really tempted by Arizona since it's the state that receives the most sunshine all year round and The Wraith movie was filmed there 👍👍😂 Ofcourse I'll be building my own off grid home from the ground up since I worked construction jobs half my life and know how to, solar powered electricity with li-ion batteries for night time operations, full LED lighting, propane water heater, rain water collection with double filtration for showering, washing dishes, laundry and triple filtration for drinking and cooking water. Back up gas or diesel generator, back up diesel heater. Property taxes in those 3 states range between $150 - $500 /year and I don't have to deal with codes/municipal restrictions etc... just gotta get a septic system installed cuz I just don't want a composting toilet etc... On top of rain water collection, depending on my area of choice, it may also be possible to drill for a well too. Property for sale by the states range between $5k and over $100k but I found some nice pieces of land with road access between $15k and $30k.
