Kicking off 4th of July weekend with a little history lesson courtesy of my friend @_lyneezy I was going to pair this with the #JamesBaldwin quote: “I love America more than any other country in the world and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.” Except, this is not a read, it’s a fact. Telling the truth is not criticizing. “Our founding fathers intended on racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism and xenophobia, which is why they’re attacking the 14th amendment in the first place.” But we’re here.
