As an educator who was “teacher-in-charge” during a school lockdown with two gunmen on campus, as an aunt to two incoming high schoolers and a current high schooler, as a woman who was held up at gunpoint in Texas with its MFing open carry laws, I am furious, sickened, and deeply saddened by the fact that gun lobbyists run our country. I’m embarrassed as an American having lived in several other countries where school shootings NEVER happen. When will our children be made a priority over the NRA? Columbine, Sandy Hook, Parkland, Robb. Ban assult weapons. Pass the background check law. Make the thumbprint id on guns, like last gen iphones, mandatory. Make our schools safe. 🤬😢🙏🏼
