When Aviva was seven she returned to Czechoslovakia, Europe, to see her father who worked in a youth camp compromised of Holocaust survivors.
There she met a young survivor who gave Aviva a bracelet - the only memory of his sister who was murdered in Auschwitz with their mother. He asked Aviva to carry it for him to Israel.
She did, and later in life donated the bracelet to Yad Vashem: hoping that through the publication of her story the man’s identity could be uncovered.
