Happy 4th of July aka #IndependenceDay! 🦅🇺🇸 — my #MJMonday post today is a Jordan 7 designed by @tinkahat in an American flag themed colorway. When @jumpman23 was going to release this pair, Nike told the backstory about how Tinker sketched this pair as the original “Olympic 7” but Michael opted for the slightly different pair we all know today as the Olympic VIIs. The FTSS sample pair that I own is different from the released version of the “Tinker Alternate Olympic” because the red tone is much more of an infared brighter red tone, staying true to the original sketch. The released pair also has mismatched red & blue sock liners, but this sample has 2 blue liners & both of the back panels with the 9 also face the same way on the samples. Just recently there was a similar pair available in a @christiesinc auction, and they were evaluated to net roughly $4-6k, although I would argue this was a bit of an overestimate. I’ve shared these a few times recently, but this will be the last time because I’ll be selling this pair soon & passing them along to another collector.
