Juneteenth celebrations are occurring all over this country. It was on June 19th, 1865, that word got to Galveston, Texas, that the Emancipation Proclamation was signed 2.5 years before. After 200 years of slavery, yes, today we celebrate! #Juneteenth2022  With our freedom, we have made America a more democratic society, and we continue in the struggle for justice and equality as guaranteed by The Constitution of the United States. We will never forget our history and why we celebrate! #June19
