Bringing my art back to my Zoology roots 🍃 I've always loved the vintage scientific illustrations, searching through field guides or guide books trying to find the name of an exciting new creature. I was going to study fine art at University, until the summer before my final year of college. I had always been mesmerised by whales and dolphins and when the opportunity arose to go and collect sightings data on them during the summer I jumped on it. 🐋 I fell in love with being at sea, growing up in the pennines I'd never really spent much time on boats, but I'd found a place where I belonged.
