This Saturday our community participated in a silent protest across 9 locations in Manhattan.
My group protested at Bowling Green Park.
The War Is Not Over
We as activists must continue to remind people of the struggle and brutal war that our people are fighting against. Many wish to simply forget or choose to ignore what is happening. We must show them the truth and urgency of the situation.
The history of Bowling Green Park is that of Freedom and Independence. It is in this park where American Revolutionaries tore down a statue of the British King. Overlooked by the man that would be the first elected US President George Washington. This old, little, yet beautiful park will forever be a sign of Freedom and Independence. Once it saw the revolutionaries hoisting flags of Blue, Red, white with thirteen strips and stars.
Now we see the Yellow and Blue at this venerable park standing for the same core values of Freedom, Independence, and democracy.
Glory to Ukraine
Glory to the Hero’s.
To those that participated you have my deepest gratitude. I hope to continue seeing you all in our weekly protests.
