JURA is an island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, adjacent to and northeast of Islay. With an area of 36,692 hectares (142 sq miles) Jura is more sparsely populated than Islay, and is one of the least densely populated islands of Scotland, it is very highly likely that you will see more Deer here, than People .. that’s a King Family fact 😄😄 … In a list of the islands of Scotland ranked by size, Jura comes eighth, whereas by population wise it comes 31st. The island is mountainous, bare and largely infertile, covered by extensive areas of blanket bog.
FOUR Interesting Facts:
In August 1994, the major worldwide known Scots Band “The KLF” burned £1 million pounds in cash as a “fook you” to the Music Industry in a boathouse on Jura .. 🤓
George Orwell Wrote “1984” whilst living here ..
At the Northern Head of Jura sits the worlds second/third largest whirlpool “the Corryvrekan”
The Boot That Makes the Jura Landscape!
It’s been there a year (AT LEAST) as we should make it a landmark @hoggsoffife 🥾💙🏴
