Mary + Kevin ❤️❤️😘) This is me just moments after they announced the winner @oneshothairawards for natural texture. It was not me, and these were not tears of sadness. This was the release of so much emotion, hope, and gratitude pent up for so long it had no where else to go but OUT! I took this picture because my husband called and our daughter Harley, wanted to know If was okay? I told her, I was more then okay, I was so proud! You see you can never lose when the only competition is yourself. I had so many people cheering for me, and swearing up and down that it was going to be MY night. And you know what it was, to come as far as I’ve come, to believe so hard in myself that I knew I deserved to be in the room with so much talent! Is the true definition of winning! To have so many people believe in me, to love me, to look up to me, to inspire me, I am winning every single day! To be given another opportunity to come back stronger, better, and brighter year after year! That’s it my friends that’s the journey.
