When we worry and worry too much about what is happening around us, we offend our Heavenly Father. It's as if we told Him that we care more about what's going on than He does.
When we had great difficulties in the monastery, we came to our elder, Father Joseph of Vatopedi, and asked him:
“Father, what will happen now, when so many temptations surround us? Where are we going?"
Then the elder reassured us:
"Do not be afraid! Nothing more or less than what God wills will happen.”
And since the Lord knows what will happen, we must keep peace of mind and say: "Thy will be done."
