KEIKO HASEGAWA
‘Keiko is a lively, creative woman, deeply involved in her craft. I’m drawn to the traditional Japanese shapes and colours of these everyday objects. It takes years of experience of hand and eye to become a good potter. Keiko’s work shows her mastery.
Craftsmanship and quality have always been important and always will be.’
- MARGARET HOWELL
For Paris Design Week 2022, Margaret Howell is highlighting the works of Japanese ceramicist Keiko Hasegawa, presenting a collection of specially commissioned, hand thrown tableware.
The collection encompasses a set of bowls and teacups in an oxblood glaze, a traditional Chinese finish dating back to the eighteenth century, together with beakers in a new indigo colourway.
Using high-quality grade clay, Keiko has developed a variety of firing techniques to enhance and control the depth of colour in her individually handmade glazes.
Keiko’s handmade stoneware ceramics are available to purchase at Margaret Howell, 6 Place de la Madeleine, Paris.
