The other day a couple came into my studio and they were looking around, happily chatting about the art. I could hear the woman’s accent sounded like she was Eastern European with English as a second language. After a little bit, she walked up to me with her hand on her heart. In the sweetest, most genuine voice she said, “Your studio is very. . .” and she paused. I assumed she was trying to think of the word, then said, “Brightful!” The man with her looked at me and said, “Colorful.” But by this point I already had tears in my eyes.
