Technology has come a long way since 1832, but one thing remains the same – Longines’ quest for precision. In 1954, precision reached new heights as Longines unveiled the first Quartz timekeeping device – Chronocinégines, allowing sports officials to track athletes with a 16mm camera. Followed by the Contifort Camera in 1956 – capturing the finish of races with 100 images per second. To this day, the quest for accuracy continues with quantum timers delivering results to a millionth of a second.
