Day one and day 2 (no refresh)
For me it’s super important to remember that most photos you see on here are the hair highlights and not the reality, I often get messages asking how to make your hair last for 4-5 days but the reality is that my hair doesn’t look like the first photo all week and that’s okay!
Here are my top tips for a good day 2/3:
🫧Sleep protection - I can’t explain enough, you need to try out the options and decide which one gives you the result you like
🫧Be realistic on what your expecting
🫧The right washday in the first place - if your products are too heavy or too light you are going to feel that most on day 2-4
🫧Clarifying - for me I need to clarify every other week or I will find my hair is feeling greasy and producty especially at the roots as my wash day progresses
🫧Deep condition - I deep condition once every other week (when my hair was more damaged I did this weekly) this helps reduce the tangles and frizz you can see as a wash week progresses
🫧 Hold - you need to have a good hold product if you want to have definition all through the week, a hard hold gel on the ends as my last product is my favourite way to keep these curls/waves in place!
This wash day I used:
@merwaveuk cleanser and conditioner
@merwaveuk leave-in
@floracurl foam
@boucleme super hold styler
Foam again
@cremeofnature snot gel just on the ends for the extra hold!
