✨Cosplay Progress post!✨ . After a solid month of work, my Mirabel skirt is finally done! She now carries the honor of being the cosplay piece with the most hours invested in it out of everything I’ve ever made 💀Full breakdown + WIP photos will be up on my Twitter soon, but to summarize: The skirt is entirely made of cotton, with the bottom two tiers dyed with RIT dye. I doubled my waist measurement for a gathered look at the waistband, but with it being a full circle skirt, it ended up….massive 😅 I had to scale up the embroidery designs (created by Jenny Rose Sews on Etsy!) and used about 20 packs of embroidery floss to hand embroider the abstract designs! The only things that aren’t embroidered on are the long yarn strands, yarn butterflies, and the purple snake (done with @sisernorthamerica Stripflock Pro vinyl). I included every detail I could find between official art, movie screenshots, merchandise art, the park’s face character, and concept art - all of which I’ll throw on Twitter, to hopefully be of some use to others! Lastly I wanted to spotlight my shoes too, of which all the details are hand painted :> this skirt was a huge project for me, but I’m so glad I tackled it!
