This morning, we updated ineedana.com to reflect that Iowa now has a 24-hour waiting period due to a new state supreme court ruling. Our hearts are with everyone scheduled to have an abortion in Iowa today 💜 Especially those who have traveled from another state - many people come from Nebraska to Iowa. Making you wait another day and potentially forcing you to travel to another state is inhumane. Why would folks need to go to another state? Given the pending SCOTUS decision, many clinics in Iowa, as well as in neighboring South Dakota, have stopped booking new abortion appointments. So simply rescheduling to tomorrow may not be a possibility. While abortion is still legal in 49 states - actual access is gone in a growing number of states.
