They may not be the prettiest birds, but vultures play a critical role in healthy ecosystems ensuring that landscapes are free of disease-carrying carcasses. These mighty birds once dominated the skies, but sadly they have suffered significant declines in recent years largely as a result of indiscriminate poisoning at the hands of poachers who sometimes lace carcasses with toxins in order to cover their tracks.
It's essential that vultures are given the protection they desperately need, which is why we make it our mission to safeguard wild spaces and offer support to rangers who work on the frontlines protecting imperilled species.
