We present a proposal for a new flag for Equatorial Guinea. The current flag is part of the changes introduced by the dictatorship that governs the country, and even respecting the colors (with their meaning described in the image), we believe that it needs to be modified. The first flag that emerged with the country's independence offered those national colors as well, to which we added, like other versions of the flag, six stars, although more stylized. In addition, since the equator does not pass through the country nor is this State in the historical region of Guinea (although it is in the gulf that receives its name), we think that the name should be more in line with reality. We propose the name of Mbini and Bioko. (Mbini is the Fang language name for Río Muni, the continental part of the country, and Bioko is the main island). We hope you like the proposal.
