For the 10th anniversary of Kyotographie (@kyotographie), the co-founders of the festival, Lucille Reyboz and Yusuke Nakanishi, and Pauline Vermare, photo historian and independent curator, are proposing "10/10 Celebrating Contemporary Japanese Women Photographers", an exhibition that highlights ten contemporary Japanese women photographers (@yukarichikura, @norikohayashi_photo, @mayumi_hosokura, @arikoinaoka, @ai_iwane, Momo Okabe, @harumi.shimizu, @mayumi.suzuki.photo, @shining_woman_project and @tamakiyoshida).
This initiative reflects "the silent revolution" that is taking place in Japanese society. It was natural that the project was conceived in dialogue with Kering (@kering_official) which, through its #WomenInMotion programme, has been contributing since 2015 to changing mentalities by highlighting the talent of women in all artistic and cultural fields - in Japan and around the world.
