Howard's End Adapted from: Howards End Directed by: Hettie MacDonald 2017 4 Episodes A most powerful and dramatic depiction of this mix of humanity in that era. Tremendous performances by all, especially by Hayley Atwell. I loved the movie version with Emma Thompson and Anthony Hopkins, but I feel this miniseries version can explore further some of the issues and topics E.M. Forster touched on in his book; class, gender, nationality etc. Also the mirrored circumstances across the class divide and how characters deal with them. The costumes and cinematography were just wonderful, as well as the music choice lingering in the background.
