THE ELEPHANT STAYS IN THE ROOM... A GREAT PROJECT IS OUT! I usually don't share those "behind the scenes" personal stories of how rough it can get when you are an unknown, un-young and un-man professional in the Film Industry and Film Composers community, I usually let the work do the talking as I strongly believe in meritocracy, but the "elephant" is exactly why I am extremely happy about a female driven, empowering project I am part of! “Tell It Like a Woman" is a feature film comprised of seven different interconnected segments and showcases talent from all over the world. I am thrilled to be the composer for the animation segment "Aria" directed by Lucia Bulgheroni and Silvia Carobbio. The star studded talent ensemble includes Jennifer Hudson, Pauletta Washington, Cara Delevingne, Margherita Buy, Marcia Gay Harden, Eva Longoria, Leonor Varela, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anne Watanabe. 13 time Oscar nominated songwriter Diane Warren has penned a song called Applause for the film, which is performed by Sofia Carson. The project is the result of a collaboration with @wditogether, a non-profit film production company that advocates for gender equality, founded by producer Chiara Tilesi. The film premiered at the prestigious Taormina Film Fest in Italy and was presented with an Excellence Award. It will be distributed in USA And Canada by Samuel Goldwyn Films . A theatrical release is being planned for this winter. Also, the filmmakers will embark on an Oscar campaign for the film.
