This is @fortnums Piccadilly!

Mr. Fortnum and Mr. Mason usually reside in the two cabinets next to the clock. But one day every year, they come out. They come out on a day that nobody else knows about. The 32nd of December!
.
The 32nd of December was actually first discovered by the two major Astronomers of Ancient Babylon, Major Fortnumus and Major Masonus. When Babylon was conquered by Persia, these two astronomers escaped on the day that only they knew, so only they could use. They escaped far away to a distant land called Scandinavia. There, they told the Scandinavians that they were Major Fortnumus and Major Masonus. Except the Scandinavians couldn't pronouce that and they became Mr. Fortnum and Mr. Mason. They were thought to be messangers from Asgard, so they were treated like gods. And, in the end, this went to their head and they, like gods, didn't die, even when they'd live for centuries.
.
Then one day, they were called to lead an invasion party to an island called Britain. They went to Britain, and they liked the climate a lot better than the icy Scandinavian one that they decided to live there. They lived in a place called Londinium. Later on, they changed the name to London, much easier to pronounce. But as they were no longer treated like gods, they needed to find a way to earn money themselves. Then finally, in the year 1707, they established a shop called Fortnum and Mason in London. However, running this place began to tire them, and they began to get old. As a way to stay alive, they added a clock to the facade and turned themsleves into alive statues. They hid themsleves in the cabinets on either side. And one day every year, they come out.
