HEALTHY HAIR TALK ➿
& What I do differently now than 2 years ago with my hair
I Often get the question how my hair has become so healthy and which products I recommend.
➿ Actually, I advise everyone the same: Inventorize good products; a good basis is more than half the work (As we like to say in the Netherlands).
🌿 MY 6 TIPS FOR HEALTHY HAIR
- Hair treatment at least once a week
- Curl train/ Twist your hair while deepco
(If you don't know what I mean by this send me a DM)
- Give your hair a rest sometimes and do not use products in your hair that day
- Use A Wide-toothed Comb 🖤 Wet hair is fragile and prone to break. This kind of a comb prevents damage to your hair.
- Drink water 🖤 Internal hydration coupled with external hydration is the key to well-balanced and healthy hair. You may be using hydrating hair care products and oils, but drinking at least 2 litres of water everyday ensures good hair health
- Use a microtowel
My hair now and 2 years ago is such a big difference! ⬇️
🌿 THE 4 BIGGEST DIFFERENCES
from how I take care of my hair now and 2 years ago:
1. Night protection: I sleep on a silk pillowcase every night.🤍 Sleeping on silk allows your hair to lock in more moisture and will keep the natural oils intact. Silk pillowcases is better for your head and will make your hair healthier, especially when added to your nightly routine.
2. I never go to sleep with wet hair. What I did almost every night
3. Curly Girl Friendly Products without:
- Sulfates
- Silicone
- Drying Alcohols
- Parabens
- Phthalates
4. Silica 🤍 Unfortunately I sometimes forget to take it for months. But silica is super important to me! Perhaps even more important than all the aforementioned
(for more information about silica check my hightlight "curls Q&A")
REMEMBER
- Have patience. You may have never taken good care of your hair. So your hair needs time to get healthier
