“I love that Givenchy is one of the first houses to do street-inspired clothing, but at the same time it has couture which is the highest of the high. I love that really polarising tension between both those worlds. It is just exciting for me, and it fits with my aesthetic. I do think the street is where most of us designers draw from for inspiration and style. The streets are an endless book of opportunities, where you see one express themselves in their own individual way,” “I like to connect both ends of the creative world in my work, and in this collection, it’s a great influence from my real-life background, blended with a couture fantasy that is becoming real now that I am here.”
