China 🇨🇳, India 🇮🇳 and Russia 🇷🇺 are the biggest producers of wheat, however its cultivation knows no limits. It has been grown in the Arctic circle and the high altitude mountains of Tibet.
Billions of people around the world eat wheat, in many different forms. Individuals consume an average of 68kg of wheat every year!
Around 70% of wheat produced globally is consumed as food, whilst nearly 20% is used to feed livestock 🐄. Increasingly, wheat is also being diverted for biofuels ⛽️, especially in the EU.
