Another species featured in the Sea of Connections mural in Miami, lemon sharks are named for the yellowish color of their skin. This coloring is well suited as camouflage for the shallow sandy bottoms of the warm waters they call home. Like many species of sharks, lemon sharks prefer to be social and often live in groups.
