Amon Düül II – Wolf City. What we have here is prog-rock/psych-rock/kruatrock classic. Wolf City was released on United Artists Records in 1972. Amon Duul II could be pretty experimental but this album is fairly straight ahead “rock” but I guess it would still be weird sounding for some. The songs and the musicianship are excellent and you can hear how they influenced many contemporary indie bands like O Sees, Ty Segall and King Gizzard. I could never find a decent early copy, but I got a very nice reissue in 2014 from Purple Pyramid.
