Blerdcon is calling on cosplay community to get your best cosplays lined up for the 2022 Cosplay Contest! New format! New prizes! More cosplay to celebrate! The 1st place winner will be crowned “Black Cosplayer of the Year! With a combination of cash, prizes, and cosplay guest articulated invites (the 2021 winner guested at 3 cons following Blerdcon), the BCOY will return as a guest cosplayer for the Blerdcon 2023! All this in addition to a 4k photo and video shoot ON SITE!! The Black Cosplayer of the Year will also win a trip to Costume College 2023 in California! Costume College is an annual three-day costuming arts conference created and produced by Costumer’s Guild West, Inc. The prize package includes airfare up to $400, student tuition for lectures, workshops and demos on all things costuming, a two-night stay at the Warner Center Marriott, and tickets to the tea and gala events.
