Living on Chicago’s south side, @LawrenceAgyei is a Ghanaian portrait photographer. With a goal to uplift perspective in a setting where negativity is all too common, Lawrence’s skillful use of portraiture helps reveal the messages and emotions that his subjects are displaying through his lens. The subjects within his work stand out visually with vibrance, composition, boldness, texture, and expression making his work unforgettable. Being born and raised in Italy where he was the only black student at his school and then moving to Chicago, Lawrence finds energy and togetherness in the community.
